Facebook Page: Lulu Animal Shelter.
There are lots of puppies and kittens that need good
homes.
Before any animal is adopted, the following is observed:
1. House Check
2. The potential owner's vet
3. Other pets owned
4. Agreement to spay/neuter
Should the animal be adopted, follow-ups will be done to
ensure that the animal is taken care of.
Pups and kittens under 8 weeks or 2 months old WILL
NOT BE REHOMED. An animal is too young to rehome
if under that age. A young pup or kitten needs to be with
his or her mother so that the immune system is properly
developed. A young pup or kitten also needs to be
properly weaned from the mother's milk.
If adopting a pup or dog, please ensure that your place is
PROPERLY FENCED or the dog/pup is kept indoors.
WHY?
People without proper fencing may want to chain the dog
or lock the dog in a kennel all day and all night. This is
inhumane. We have dealt with cases in the past where
dogs were adopted and chained out in the sun and rain.
We also have cases where the dog was able to escape and
was injured. Please do not do this to your pet dogs.
Cats and kittens should have a place indoors where they
can have food, water and a place to rest. It is not a good
idea to have cats and kittens roaming. Some neighbours
may not be cat friendly.
